Nower House comprises 2 large houses joined together that contain 44 single rooms. All the rooms are ensuite, and some have their own outside space for residents to enjoy.
It’s a lovely quiet setting, opposite a huge nature reserve, with stylish, adapted facilities including: 2 open plan lounge and dining rooms, 2 TV rooms, a sunny conservatory and beautiful landscaped gardens.
Being owned by a charitable organisation, Nower House puts people before profits. Without shareholders demanding returns, we focus entirely on enhancing the wellbeing of our residents. Our team embraces a deeply personal approach to care, taking time to understand each individual’s unique needs, preferences and personalities.
This creates a warm, vibrant community where laughter echoes through our halls. We share life’s moments – from birthday celebrations to quiet afternoon chats – creating a genuine family atmosphere where everyone truly feels at home.

Residents’ bedrooms are designed to capture natural light, tastefully decorated, and partially furnished. While views differ between rooms, we ensure each one offers proper privacy.
We warmly encourage residents to make their space truly their own by bringing familiar furniture pieces, cherished ornaments and beloved pictures from home.
For your peace of mind, each room is equipped with a call bell system, and our more tech-savvy residents can make good use of the complementary Wi-Fi throughout the home.
There’s nothing quite like knowing your loved one is gathering round for lovely meals with friends, is there? Our brilliant on-site chefs cook up a storm every day, preparing a variety of mouthwatering dishes using only the freshest ingredients. If residents have special dietary requirements or particular preferences, don’t you worry – our team will bend over backwards to accommodate them whenever possible.
We believe meals should be savoured, which is why dining here is always a bit of an occasion. Throughout the year, we enjoy a good old knees-up with themed lunches celebrating international cuisines, national events, and cherished British traditions – always a cracking time!
Nower House is at the edge of Dorking’s beautiful Georgian town centre and has a handy bus route nearby. It’s opposite the Nower Nature Reserve, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty – the views are stunning!
Closer to home, there’s an array of local shops, restaurants, and other facilities, just a 10 minute walk away.
If residents prefer, they can keep their family doctor – as long as the doctor is able to keep them on at their new address. Nower House is linked to the local doctor’s surgery and our care team manages regular medication.
For a small additional cost, residents can arrange for chiropody or hair appointments that are carried out in the onsite salon.

The energy and enthusiasm she brings, together with her vast experience is helping Nower House be recognised as one of the leading Residential Care Homes in the Area.
This is a care home with lovely, helpful and caring staff. We knew this was the right place the moment we walked through the door.
Nower Care Home in Dorking is an extremely well-run establishment. The staff are very kind to the residents and nothing is too much trouble. The premises are kept spotlessly clean and visiting relatives are always made welcome.
I had a respite stay after being in the hospital. I was welcomed and made to feel safe. The staff were all brilliant. The food was all freshly made so there was a lot of choices and it tasted wonderful.
