Our society

Abbeyfield Wey Valley Society

The Abbeyfield Wey Valley Society has six care homes in Farnham, Reading, Dorking and Oxted. Sheltered Housing id offered in Guildford and Oxted and the society also operates a home care service in both Farnham and Dorking.

Charitable Status

Managed as a charity, the Society is overseen by a Board of Trustees, who are volunteers mostly drawn from the local community.

A Chief Executive manages the operations with a professional management team overseeing  each of the homes. In addition, residents are invited to regular meetings where they are encouraged to play an active role in the running of the home they reside in.

As we are a Charity, there are no shareholders to syphon off funds. Every pence we receive is re-invested in our homes and services. Our underlying ethos is “Care Before Profit” and that is what drives us forward.

Comfort

Every resident enjoys a spacious, pleasantly decorated en-suite bedroom together with several lounges in each home to allow for quiet seating, conversation or watching television.

On-site chefs ensure nutritious and well-balanced meals are tailored to all tastes with a variety of choice for all. Beautiful, well-maintained gardens are a feature of all the homes while a programme of activities on and off the premises encourages participation and companionship.
